Annual Feast St Antony’s Syrian Jacobite Cathedral, Jeppu, Mangalore

Jeppu/ Mangalore : The celebrations started on a note of prayer followed by reflections and retreat on the evening of 24 Feb. by H.G. Zacharias Mor Phelexinos, Metropolitan ,Idukki Diocese, continued on 25th evening too along with evening prayers. The sessions were themed & focused at a better understanding of “Blissful Family Life” (for family members) & ” Need of Disciplining Oneself in a Christian Perspective”( for the youth including student community).On 26 th , after morning prayers , the blessed Holy Penta-Mass was celebrated ;H.G. Zacharias Mor Phelexinos, Metropolitan of Idukki Diocese being the chief celebrant. H.G. Yacob Mor Anthonios, Metropolitan, Honnavar Mission, also graced the ocasion. Rasa in devotion accompanied by
Chenda melam followed by Benediction formed the integral parts of the Perunnal. Rev Fr Philip Vaidyan , the vicar, thanked the guests and expressed gratitude on his own & on behalf of the Cathedral Managing Committee. The joy and celebration culminated in the fellowship lunch hosted by the church and thus making the Perunnal a memorable and a blessed one.
